Mari’s zest for life made you want to follow her lead.
Have you ever wanted to feel complete freedom? No worries. No deadlines. No bills. Just complete and utter freedom. I think of freedom and Mari’s picture comes to mind. She had an unmatched zest for life that I don’t think I’ve seen in other people.
She really didn’t care what people thought of her as she always did as she pleased. Whether it was creating Lake Mari in the bathroom sink as the waterfall hit the floor or take a permanent marker and using our white walls as her canvas as she wrote BLUE, CLUE, TOYS, CARS.
Mari lived in the moment. She could dance around as she watched Backyardigans or say, “Awwwwwww” as she read one of her books. She almost always was happy. You looked at her and wished some of her happiness could be rubbed off on you. She epitomized what someone was like if they had a true zest for life.
Thank you baby girl for all you did in Mommy’s life and everyone else you touched. You made me be a better person. I will always miss you and you will always be remembered.
