It’s hard to believe that the month of April is already over as well as the A to Z Challenge for 2013. I remember finding out about the challenge toward the end of March and thought it was a pretty kewl idea to take a letter from the alphabet for each day of the month.
I knew right from the get go that I’d be doing it about my daughter. However, I had to come up with what each letter for would signify. Here were all the words I used this month:
Amazing beautiful caring dare-devil energy faith giving heal independence joy kindred–spirit loving Mari’s-world night open patient quest remember serious time unconditional vivacious walk eXtraordinary yummy zest
Those are some great words and all can describe either who Mari was or her little world. The amazing part about the A to Z Challenge is that I almost missed the opportunity to be apart of it. I think I only found out about it about six or seven days before it started on April 1. God was guiding my path as He lead me to the challenge. I loved being apart of this so much. I was able to share with others the blessings of knowing our daughter even though they may have never met her.
I can’t wait for next years challenge. It will be interesting what I come with. More than likely it will be about my daughter but that is probably not hard to imagine. I mean, after all this is her dedication site. J. My sincerest hope is that everyone who participated in the challenge enjoyed it as much as I did. Also, I hope all those who came by to see what I wrote about on any given day may have found what I wrote about my daughter encouraging or a blessing somehow.
If you don’t mind, please leave a comment to let me know what you thought of the challenge this month.

Thank you Joanne. I felt blessed to be able to share a little bit of who my daughter Mari was with everyone. My hope is you saw her in a new light and just how special of a person she was to those who knew her while she was alive.

Congrats, you did it! And sharing Mari’s story, and yours, with the A to Z world was really a wonderful tribute. You are one strong mama and a great blogger!

Thank you so much for that. My hope is that through my writing others are able to get to know my daughter through the words written as well as seeing who I am. I never thought I’d start a blog but it felt natural to start one in dedication to my daughter. Her life blessed me as a person more than I could have ever imagined.

Hi Shannon. Thank you for your comment. Sorry it took me so long to reply back. The month of July I kind of step back from writing as July has come to a time of remembrance of my daughter and if I do too much writing I end up crying a lot and missing her so much. I don’t want to post a lot of sad things during this month so I try to stay focused on other things. However, reading comments like yours makes me know that my words do touch others and I am grateful for that. It always means so much to me.
As for the challenge, I truly loved doing it. It was so rewarding and can’t wait to do it again next year.
