Rearranging our school year for homeschooling my niece/daughter from 5-days a week down to 4-days.
Have you ever had a gut feeling telling you to do something but you thought to yourself, “Well, that can’t be the way,” or “That can’t be right.” Well, I knew at the end of last year that doing 4-days a week worked best for both Athena and myself. If we had an appointment during the week that interrupted school we were able to move the school day then to Friday. Of if one of us got sick, again we could move that school day to Friday. It worked out really great.
So this year I sat down to do the school year and talked to Athena about which she would prefer and we both decided on a 5-day a week plan. Well, when my hubby got off Friday because he is in the Army so he gets a four-day weekend, I knew that we needed a 4-day a week plan as we headed downstairs to our school room while he was upstairs enjoying his day without us even though he was home.
Over the weekend I spent the last two days rearranging everything from five days a week down to four. It actually feels better knowing this.
So, I should have gone with my gut. Have you ever had a gut feeling you decided to ignore that later came out that you should have followed it? I think we all have at one time or another.
