Please welcome this week's guest Elise Stone for The Journey. She answers the question: How have you seen God work in your writing journey? I was raised a Christian. I went to Sunday School and church every Sunday, sang in the choir, attended the youth group. I wrote my first story in kindergarten. I suppose “wrote” is exaggerating a bit. I drew a series of pictures, cartoon panels, and my mother wrote the words underneath. Both God and writing were very important, albeit separate, … [Read more...]

E is for Ebook
Have you noticed the amount of ebooks now available for us to purchase today. They are so prevalent. There are so many authors going the indie route as they have more control over how their book is published, or for that matter, getting it published at all. Twenty years ago, if you wanted to see your book in print, you had to go to one of the big New York publishers and hope, that by some small miracle, they'd publish your book. Today you can go to a place like CreateSpace and publish your … [Read more...]

The Journey with Ava Pennington
Please welcome this weeks guest Ava Pennington for The Journey. She answers the question: How have you seen God work in your writing journey? Step By Step I dreamed of writing for years, but never considered publication a realistic goal. My one success was a tribute to my mother published in a human interest column in a local newspaper. When I lost my niece a few years ago the intensity of the grief I felt overwhelmed me. Yet somehow, in the process of both recovering from my own sense of loss and helping my sister - who … [Read more...]

I know I have made plenty of stupid mistakes throughout my lifetime. It is how I've learner to not make those same mistakes over and over again. As a writer we will make tons of mistakes. It's okay. How can you learn to be a better writer … [Read more...]
The Journey with Kathy Harris
Please welcome this weeks guest Kathy Harris for The Journey. She answers the question: How have you seen God work in your writing journey? I’ve often wondered how we can know at a young age what we want to pursue in life. No doubt God places the desire within our heart as a calling to be fulfilled at the time and place He ordains, the path remaining uncertain. By the time I was seven or eight, I knew I wanted to be a writer, and I followed that dream through high school and college. … [Read more...]

The Warden's Lantern is written by Joselyn Vaughn. Book Description: Dark, creaking trees. Cracking thunder. A ghostly orb.
