When you think about springing forward in March or falling back in November, which do you prefer the most? If I had it my way I’d say neither as I hate having to put my clock forward an hour in the fall only to put it back in the spring. It messes with our body systems. I know, it’s only an hour, but it’s still an hour. However, if I had to choose, I’d always pick falling back because you gain an extra hour whereas with springing back we lose an hour.
I remember back when Keith and I first met and that first couple of years of our marriage when we’d be out at the country bar with our other friends in the Army and it happened to be on the night the clocks went back an hour. Instead of the bar closing at the first 2am time, we got to stay an extra hour. Nothing like having one more hour of country dancing and drink to end out your night. Those days seem like eons ago.
However, today, I still love my extra hour as I get an extra hour of sleep one night out of the year. However, the drawback comes in when we lose it in the Spring. That always stinks.
So how about you. Which do you prefer: spring forward or fall back?

I’m with you, Kristena! Bah humbug on changing the clocks! Why can’t we fall back thirty minutes this time and stop this nonsense. 😉

No kidding. I’d say we fall back this one last time and then put an end to it. Here in Alaska it really makes no sense because the whole reason for it is a mute point since there’s almost no darkness in Summer. But, oh well, right. LOL
