YEAH!!! I finally figured out how to get Mari’s special video that was played at her funeral uploaded onto YouTube. I had it on Google Video for quite sometime but then that went away when Google and YouTube merged together. When I then tried to upload it into YouTube it said it was too long because it was over 15 minutes long. I didn’t know there was a specific time amount or if I could do anything about it until I went on a hunting expedition on YouTube this evening. I finally found out that all I needed to do was have a text message verification code sent to my cell phone and then I had access to upload longer video.
So now, Mari’s special video is updated on the Video page for anyone who is interested in watching it. It is played to three songs: MercyMe “I Can Only Imagine,” Casting Crowns “I Know You’re There,” and Carrie Underwood “Whenever You Remember.” I still remember sitting there beside my husband as we look through picture after picture for our friend who was going to create for us a little slideshow of our daughter to be played at the funeral. We figured we would give him plenty of pics to choose from so that he would be able to do what he needed to the best he could. I also remember sitting there going through song after song trying to find just the right songs to be played in the background as well. This is when we chose the three songs for the slideshow and we also chose to have sung Josh Groban’s “I Raise You Up” and Casting Crowns “Praise You In The Storm” sung by someone in our church that we attended when we lived in DeKalb.
The end result of the video was more than we could have ever even imagined. I just remember having to leave the room as the tears started to flow freely gushing from my eyes. After I came back to finish watch, moments later my husband said, “It’s my turn,” and then he left the room as well.
I hope you enjoy this video as it means the world to me.
