As writers, we love to go into the recesses of our brain and come up with stories out of no where. It’s what fuels the fire of our story as we write out each word.
I think of Mari as I’m writing this today. Sometimes while Mari would be sitting in her chair, and it looked like she was staring off into space, she would start to giggle incessantly over what appeared to be nothing. You could take your hand and move it back and forth in front of her face and she didn’t see it. She’d retreated into her world again. I loving called this world “Mari’s World.” She could be off in her world for as long as she wanted or until you made enough commotion to where she’d come back to ours.
I always wondered how awesome it’d be to be able to visit her world. She always seemed so happy there as she giggled away.
Mari is a great example of being free and letting loose. She’ll always be a constant reminder to try my very best to not take life so seriously that I forget to have some fun once in a while. She’s my inspiration to do better and to be a better person because it’s through her that God’s unconditional love is shown as she loved everyone around her. I’ll always miss her but at least I know I have some peace in knowing that her and I will one day be reunited in heaven. It’s this that gives me the peace I need so I continue to live each day to the fullest.

Ah, Kristena, what a very sweet picture. Your daughter is beautiful! You both favor each other. Thank you for sharing your heart, too. :)) God bless you, mother of Mari.

Awe, Jean, thank you. I always thought she was beautiful but I’m only slightly bias. She was my sweet little angle.
