I love this. A validation posse. Before I got into writing seriously I might never have truly understood what this would mean and how important it is as a writer.
As for what I do on this site, my validation posse has been those individuals that my writing has somehow touched their life and for those who have left comments to let me know how those words did touch their lives.
But writing Mari’s book and also my fiction writing, to have just the right posse is more important than I ever could have imagined. One person in my writing posse is Joanna Davidson Politano. She’s been such a support to me. She does more than just read through something I’ve written and give me constructive critical back. She’s there for me on a deep friendship level. We talk almost every night online sharing both writing things as well as personal things in our lives. She’s become such an important person in my life.
Then there is Ally Carter. Someone else whom I talk to daily online. One I’ve shared so much with.
Lucy Morgan-Jones started as someone I knew from the big critique group through ACFW. She gave me one of the best critiques for my fiction work in progress. From there a friendship started to blossom. She lives in Australia. Almost every week she calls me for our weekly chat. I don’t think there has been a conversation yet to where we’ve gone less than 2 hours.
And then there is Pammer Robinson and Jeanne Leach and Joy Avery Melville and Dawn Turner and Misty Kirby and April Jatindranath and Shelly Tucker and Terri Mann and just so many more. These are my posse and I feel blessed to have them in my life. God knew what He was doing.
