It’s interesting that in life how different we all really are. No two people will do something the same way. Even as writers, we must remember to be true to ourselves instead of trying to copy another writer as it will come off fake. In the end, we must keep our own voices when we write. Reader can tell when we don’t.
Well, my writing space, typically, is in my living room in my big comfy cozy rocker/recliner with my feet up, my lapdesk on my lap with my laptop on top of that, my mousepad and mouse to the right side. I have a little end table that holds my document stand for when I need to type in what I wrote longhand (yes, I actually write out all my new scenes the old school way as it’s what works best for me, but I will save that for another posting). The TV is off. No music plays in the background. I need total quiet in order to be able to write. This is my writing space. Once in a while I might write downstairs at the desk I teach for homeschooling my niece/daughter, but for the most part it’s all in my recliner.
So where is your special space that you like to do things?
