It means to let yourself go. To be free to what you want to possibly get a better result than you could have expected.
I love this quote, “Technique alone is never enough. You have to have passion. Technique alone is just an embroidered potholder.” – Raymond Chandler
I think writing is that for me. throughout the last five years I’ve done different things with my writing which has allowed me to become more and more open with it. I’m able to share more about me and who I am as a person. I try my best to not hide myself from other. I want to be able to be as free as I want when I write so that it comes across naturally and truthfully.
I’ve stated this before, but writing for me is freeing in and of itself. I’ve been able to open up in ways I never thought I would. To bare some of my inner most feelings with others still surprises me. I think it does because I wanted nothing to do with writing for so long. I had absolutely no belief in myself that my writing was any good. Yet, I started to hear it over and over where it somehow touched someone else. This website has done this for me. I’m so thankful that I’ve been blessed with writing and I can share it with all of you.
