When I first saw the heading “The Matanuska Valley and Other Diversions,” I was like “what the heck could this be about?” Then I read the short exert and I had to laugh. One word can sum it up best: Procrastination.
I don’t think there’s a person on this earth who hasn’t procrastinated at some point in their life. Now grant it, there are some who’ve made it an art form with how great they do this. And others rarely ever do.
God has made each and every one of us so different. We each make our own choices. The choice to do things early or in a timely manner or the choice to wait until the last possible moment is just that, our choice.
For me, my procrastination tendencies come in spurts. If its something I really want to do, I tend to do it quickly. However, if I become bored then I lose interest. Then those pesky little things we just don’t want to do but know we must, we wait until the absolute last second. Sometimes we get it done in time and others we miss it.
I know I wish I could be better about procrastinating. Who knows, maybe something will click and I always do everything on time. Highly unlikely, but I can hope right.
