Here we have the continuing journey of Sally Bradley as she answers the question, "How have you seen God work in your writing journey?" If you missed the Part 1, you can click here to read the first half of her writing journey. Over the next year, the time it took me to heal, editor after editor passed on the book. And I found myself relieved that my dream hadn’t come to fruition yet. What a disaster that would have been. A few months after I’d healed, God moved us from the church where my … [Read more...]

The Journey with June Foster
Please welcome this weeks guest June Foster for The Journey. She answers the question: How have you seen God work in your writing journey? I retired from teaching elementary school in El Paso, Texas. A few years later my husband and I bought an RV and began traveling across the United States, loving every minute of our freedom. I can't describe all the exciting places we visited. Some mornings we'd even wake up and ask ourselves where we wanted to travel today. After a few years, something … [Read more...]
NaBloPoMo
I'm excited. I've recently found a website that many may have heard of before called BlogHer. Most of us have heard, or even participated in, NaNoWriMo, which happens every November. Well, BlogHer has their own version for those who write blogs only it's every month with a new one word topic to write on throughout the month. It's called NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month). I participated in this on my daughter's dedication website Mommy's Angel In Heaven. and it was really kewl. What's … [Read more...]
The Journey with Beth Farley
Please welcome this weeks guest Beth Farley for The Journey. She answers the question: How have you seen God work in your writing journey? Why I Chose to Write I didn’t choose to write, God chose me. End of story. No! There is a lot more as to why I am writing and not working full time. Almost a year ago, I was forced to step down from my full time job to working only part time. I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Nephrodic Syndrome; a very fancy title for a kidney disease. I started my writing … [Read more...]
The Journey with Ada Nicholson Brownell
Please welcome this weeks guest Ada Nicholson Brownell for The Journey. She answers the question: How have you seen God work in your writing journey? THE FIRE STILL BURNS When elected president of the youth group in my home church at age 15, our services weren’t the usual three songs and a speaker. We had a service where admission to the meeting was a mirror. The words to the music were backward, so the youth had to look in a mirror to read them. The speaker spoke on our lives … [Read more...]
Day 2: Abundance
To have an abundance of whatever is important to you is what matters most. For me, it's the knowledge of writing and knowing my craft top my list. Would I've ever thought that five and half years ago? Nope. I was in blissful unawareness that my life was about to be uprooted and changed forever because in three months I would loss my daughter. Three months after the loss I began to write on her dedication website. It was my outlet during a very hard time in my life as this has, and will always … [Read more...]
Feeling Invincible
When was the last time you felt invincible? I don't know if I've ever felt invincible. My life has been anything but. I've had abuse, abandonment, neglect, and that was all from my childhood. My husband and I have had to deal in almost 20 years of marriage my childhood, meeting in the Army, infertility, having our only child end up with severe autism, recruiting in the Army, and finally our only child dying. And I feel like I'm forgetting something. So do feel invincible? No. But do I feel … [Read more...]
A new journey (of sorts)
On my daughter's dedication website, I started a journey at the beginning of the year where I'd write for 365 days from reading prompts out of this book. I've been loving it and it's been an interesting ride along the way. The thing is, I'd like to do something similar on here but don't want to use the same book. So I went on a search today and found five new books, one of which I'm going to start for my journey here. They're simple word prompts. I think it will fun and exciting as I start … [Read more...]
Do we take the easy or the hard way?
Well, this week I was more productive than I thought I'd be. I was able to rewrite out a new scene. Then while I was talking to a friend on Facebook just chatting away an idea came to me that might help to enhance the scene even better. But then a question came to my mind. "Is it worth all the effort to try and write the scene in the new way or take the easy route and just leave it be?" Well, I think our gut instinct, if we are honest with ourselves, is to take the easy way as it's just that: … [Read more...]
